Since a very young age I have always had a love for photography, there is something magical about capturing a moment in time, whether taking a snapshot of friends or your first baby being born, every photo captures not only the image, but also the feeling at that time and this is why I love photography.

My name is Daniel Lightening, although I do prefer to be called by my nickname Bubby, and I have lived in Norwich all of my life and feel lucky (believe it or not) to do so. I live with my beautiful wife Ruth and our two children, Sam and Poppy.

I am completely self-taught in photography and have never believed this is a subject that you are required to study, my philosophy has always been to just get out there and enjoy taking photos. I have a keen eye for composition and I am able to capture images in almost any style and post-process them to a very high standard. I feel extremely priviliged that I am able to make a living doing what I love, and it is something that I am thankful for every day.
